MathsChecklist

Privacy

The short version: we store as close to nothing as we can get away with.

If you just browse checklists

Nothing about you is collected or sent anywhere. Your 1–5 ratings are saved in your browser’s local storage, on your device. Clear your browser data and they’re gone. There are no analytics trackers and no advertising.

If you join a class as a student

We store exactly three things about you:

  • First name and last initial (e.g. “Priya S.”) — so your teacher knows whose ratings are whose.
  • Your ratings — the 1–5 confidence numbers you tap, with timestamps.
  • A random device token — a meaningless ID that lets this device reconnect to your ratings without an account.

We never ask for — and have nowhere to put — your email address, date of birth, school, photos, or surname. There are no student accounts and no passwords.

If you’re a teacher

We store your email address (that’s your sign-in), an optional display name, your classes, and the assignments you create. Delete a student, a class, or your whole account from Settings and everything attached to it is deleted immediately and permanently — ratings included.

Where the data lives

All data is stored in Australia (Sydney region) with our database provider, Supabase. It is not sold, shared, or used for anything except showing teachers their own class’s confidence ratings.

Questions

This site is built and run by a Queensland maths teacher. If anything here is unclear, ask — the whole point is that there’s nothing to hide.
